Inga Zhuravleva

I am a hardware hacker obsessed with working on most ambitious sci-fi ideas.

Currently, I am building hardware at Midjourney, exploring new ways of human-computer and AI interaction. Previously, I was building biological time travel at Cradle, where I was the first engineer on the organ cryopreservation program.

In the past, I’ve researched multimodal invasive BCIs for text, speech, and avatar decoding at UCSF Chang Lab and Berkeley Speech Group (Nature 2023). Such neuroprosthesis enabled a pathway to restoring naturalistic communication for people with severe paralysis.

While in college, I’ve organized a few iterations of Cal Hacks, getting together 1000+ students around the US for a weekend of non-stop hacking. Having found lots of joy using fabric of reality itself as my canvas (aka building hardware), I care a lot about supporting people building in physical space.
